This morning the BlackBerry Playbook has received a small 37mb update. Mainly this update helps the developers using Adobe Flash and Air. Along side that, there are probably normal small fixes as well. Update and let us know if we have missed anything by commenting below! UPDATE: Jay, one of our team members sent Read the Rest of the story [...] RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 just joined the rest of the BlackBerry family by gaining FIPS 140-2 certification. This comes along with RIM’s BlackBerry Device Service, a component of BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, also getting FIPS 140-2 certification. That component is the one that manages the security and policy on Read the Rest of the story [...] It seems Anders still has more in store for us PlayBook gamers! Today he announced over twitter about some hot new titles coming soon to an AppWorld near you! Some of the new games coming include 5 titles from Halfbrick such as Jetpack Joyride. We have SEGA dropping We heard during BlackBerry World about some features coming in PlayBook OS 2.1 but now RIM has confirmed the ones related to the PlayBook Android Player publicly. The only quirk is that RIM says they will be coming with BlackBerry Read the Rest of the story [...] RIM just announced the release of OS 2.0.1.358 for the BlackBerry PlayBook, the OS we reported that was in carrier testing a few days back. The new OS brings the following updates: The BlackBerry PlayBook OS v2.0.1.358 contains many updates including: Browser enhancements to address performance with some websites Improvements to Read the Rest of the story [...] The popular third party PlayBook file manager, Files & Folders, has had integration with third party services like Box and DropBox added and now they are working on SugarSync. This is a huge deal for me since I find that SugarSync is way better served for my purposes than DropBox and Read the Rest of the story [...] International BlackBerry PlayBook users were sort of bummed to learn that the new Video Store powered by Rovi was only available in the US at launch. Thankfully RIM has followed up on their blog with a little one liner promising support for more countries. Hopefully they can get a Read the Rest of the story [...] If you’re looking to get some big name apps like Kindle, Google Maps or DropBox onto your BlackBerry PlayBook after upgrading to OS 2.0 – have no fear. You now have the ability to sideload (aka load outside Read the Rest of the story [...] We knew that RIM was bringing a video store to the BlackBerry PlayBook and now it is finally here. PlayBook OS 2.0 introduced a new video store powered by Rovi through their acquired subsidiary Sonic Solutions.
