BlackBerry just pushed out another update for the PlayBook this week giving it some fresh OS love. This new update improves in app payments and text messaging over BlackBerry Bridge according to the change log. It also changes the name of BlackBerry World from what I noticed. Let us know Read the Rest of the story [...] The BlackBerry PlayBook OS has been updated today to version 2.1.0.1314. It’s a small update at just 37mb with support for AIR and Flash for developers. RIM has Read the Rest of the story [...] If you needed any more proof that BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 is coming any day now along with BlackBerry Bridge v2.1 then here it is. Piotr @BBNews.pl noticed that RIM has published an updated security overview of BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 along with BlackBerry Bridge 2.1 (PDF Link). Read the Rest of the story [...] We have known for awhile now that an update to PlayBook OS 2.1 is coming very soon but now RIM has come out and confirmed it themselves. In their announcement for the updated BlackBerry Mobile Fusion Service Pack 1 they noted that “Updates for BlackBerry Device Service that involve functionality Read the Rest of the story [...] RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 just joined the rest of the BlackBerry family by gaining FIPS 140-2 certification. This comes along with RIM’s BlackBerry Device Service, a component of BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, also getting FIPS 140-2 certification.
