RIM made the announcement earlier this week that they are changing their companies name to BlackBerry. The legal name will not change until shareholders vote at the Annual General meeting later this year. WIND Mobile officially launched their wireless service in London today, notching another city up on their growing coverage map. Over the past couple years the company has opened up in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa, Kitchener/Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge and Niagara.

The Canadian LTE race is still on, very much heated, between Rogers and Bell. Both companies are quickly expanding coverage area – last week Bell turned on the LTE speed in Yellowknife, and today Rogers has announced they now reach 8 million Canadians, up from 5.5 million with their original coverage.
